Description

Stage‑friendly instrument lead that prevents loud pops when unplugging. Using Sommer SC‑The Spirit cable and Neutrik’s silentPLUG on the guitar side, this Angled (instrument) to Straight (amp/pedal) lead auto‑mutes the signal as you pull the plug out.

Cable & shielding

• Conductor: 0.50 mm² fine‑strand copper.
• Shielding: Copper braid + conductive carbon layer to reduce hum and handling noise.
• Jacket: Smooth PVC, ≈7 mm OD, easy to coil.

Connectors

• Neutrik NP2RX‑AU‑SILENT right‑angle ¼″ TS (gold‑plated contacts) on the instrument end.
• Neutrik NP2X straight ¼″ TS (gold‑plated contacts) on the amp/pedal end.

Performance & use

• Capacitance: ~78 pF/m – preserves highs over distance.
• Resistance: ~38 Ω/km.
• Best practice: Use the silent plug at the instrument output. Not for speaker‑level connections or powered outputs.
